PALS caters to all age groups, providing psychological assessments, reports and intervention strategies. As qualified and highly experienced educational psychologists, we tailor to the individual needs of each client to identify and secure essential supports to enable them to achieve and realise their full potential.
PALS is a small family business that has been in operation for more than fifteen years. During this period we have provided our services to a wide range of clients. These clients include parents, students, and schools, Vocational Educational Committees (Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, etc.), National Educational Psychology Services (NEPS), and recently the North Tipperary Leadership Partnership. While the majority of our clients are in the Munster area, we do operate a nationwide service. We have established good working relationships with our clients over this period, and we hope that the future will see these relationships continue to grow and strengthen.
At PALS, we are passionate about helping people. We offer a large variety of services to children, adolescents, and adults. Our goal is to provide assessments and reports for individuals and offer intervention options based on the results of those assessments with the aim of helping individuals reach their potential. With short waiting lists, affordable prices, and reports accepted by the HSE the Department of Education and Science (DES), PALS is the leading choice for Educational Psychological Assessments.
During this assessment, we carry out a full psycho-educational assessment in addition to also examining behavioural, and emotional difficulties. This would include assessing for Emotional/Behavioural Difficulties such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder), ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), Conduct Disorder, Anxiety, etc.
While for simplicity sake we refer to this as an ASD assessment, it is actually our most comprehensive assessment incorporating all the previous assessment types and including Gold-Standard ASD diagnostic Tools, to provide a full Educatioanl, Emotional, Bhavioural and Social profile of the individual. If required, a speech and language assessment may also be required as phase 2 of this assessment.
PALS works with people of all ages. Our assessments give individuals the chance to create strategic interventions so they can achieve their full potential, whether it is in school, at home, or for life in general.
Our reports are accepted by the HSE, the Department of Education and Science (DES), and for qualification for the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) when applying for Third Level Education entry.
Requesting an assessment is easy. Simply fill out the necessary details and one of our psychologists will be in touch.
''Over the past ten years PALS has provided a range of psychological services to students of the school. I have found the Greenford family to be totally professional in their dealings with students, parents and staff. They are courteous, efficient and reliable with reports completed and forwarded on to the school without delay. I have no hesitation in recommending this organisation to students, parents, teachers and other interested bodies.''
