What We Do

PALS offers a large variety of assessment services to people of all ages. Our services focus on cognitive, behavioural, emotional and social assessments to develop a comprehensive profile of an individual.

With every assessment, a detailed report is generate which is then used to put interventions and strategies in place to help our clients achieve their full potential. PALS are accepted by the HSE, the Department of Education and Science (DES) and for qualification for the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE). Reports are normally issued no later than 2 to 3 weeks from the assessment date, unless delayed by a need for additional information from third parties (e.g. schools or parents). Assessments are conducted using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria along with reliable and valid standardised testing.

Our services and pricing structure are listed below. You can learn more about each service by following the links to the detailed information pages. Once your assessment has been confirmed by PALS you can use our easy online system to make your payment.

Fee Adjustments

We will travel nationwide to schools for psycho-educational assessments, however the assessments for ASD need to be done in the clinic.
Where travel to the school is required, there will be an additional fee to cover mileage.
However if more than one assessment is booked, then this fee will be waived. In cases where schools book 3 or more assessments, we offer a 10% discount to the overall bill.

For parents who have previously had someone assessed with us, or who hold a medical card, we will provide a €50 discount to the overall fee.

If any of the above adjustments apply to you then please contact PALS directly to arrange payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can assessments be carried out?

Assessments take place either in our clinic or in schools.  For school visits, the school will need to contact us directly to arrange this, and this is normally done in blocks, meaning we can arrange for a number of assessments to be completed over a week in a given area.  Our more comprehensive ASD Assessments can only be completed in the clinic.

  • How long will it take to receive the report?

All reports are usually generated 2-3 weeks after the assessment. Sometimes, if we require additional information from a parent or teacher then reports may be delayed.

  • Do you provide multiple assessments for schools?

Yes, PALS works with a large number of schools. We can carry out multiple assessments during our visit and we even offer a discount for booking multiple assessments together.
